Elevation+
High Precision Digital Elevation Modelling Service

-

Elevation+ offers airborne based elevation surveys around the world providing 1m or better resolution.

Alongside our satellite technologies, we also own and operate airborne sensors. LiDAR data is the most cost-effective, accurate height data in production from airborne systems, with the ability to generate accurate terrain models in the presence of all but the most dense vegetation cover.

Our laser scanning expertise and experience has been developed by undertaking a wide range of projects, in diverse environments such as the deserts & jungles of Africa & Asia, the coast line of the British Isles & cities across the world.

Digital Surface Models (“first surface” elevation) and Digital Terrain Models (bare earth elevation) products are available with the option of accompanying orthophotos.
The orthophotos can be derived from the strength of the laser return, commonly referred to as laser intensity or from the use of an optional camera.

LiDAR Technology
-

When fitted to an aircraft, the LiDAR system is flown over an area along overlapping strips until the complete area of interest is covered by the laser points.

The use of high accuracy GPS positioning and inertial attitude measuring instruments, together with powerful computing software allow very accurate models to be produced
