Developed in close partnership by Astrium and Infoterra France, now merged with Spot Image, ELISEO is a robust, reliable and easy-to-use location, navigation and communication service that operates anywhere in the world, in the toughest conditions.

Combining geomatics, geographic information systems (GIS) and satcom technologies, ELISEO offers a versatile platform to keep teams in touch even beyond the reach of terrestrial communication networks.

ELISEO comprises a desktop PC at a coordination unit communicating with one or more field kits:

the desktop PC is configured with the required GIS software and data, and is connected to the Internet
lightweight field kits comprise a ruggedized laptop computer with the same GIS software and data, a GPS receiver, low-rate and high-rate satcom links, plus a set of extra batteries

Coordination units and field teams stay linked through four simple and intuitive functions :

continuous automatic location and transmission of teams’ positions
visualization of positions at command posts and coordination units
transmission of text messages and geographic objects
transmission of photos and pre-formatted reports with text, photos, sketches and files.

ELISEO also comes with a range of services including telecommunications, geographic data and their integration, and mobile platform management.
